But the Chilean forward’s sky-high salary, which he is unlikely to want to drop, is forcing Inter to turn to alternatives. And the Daily Mail claim Sanchez’s image rights see his salary climb even higher, to £560,000-a-week in real terms. According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio , Inter’s other options include former Tottenham and Swansea striker Llorente. The Spanish striker, who turns 35 in February, scored just two goals over two years with Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs. Conte, who took over at Inter this summer, worked with Llorente at Juventus where the Spaniard was prolific. Conte attempted to sign the forward for Chelsea in 2017 as back up to £60million man Alvaro Morata. \t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tNOT INTER YOU\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tInter chase Sanchez but could turn to Llorente due to Utd flop's wage demands\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tPOGMA\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tPogba's 'strict supermum' Yeo raised Utd star in Paris council flat & took on Fergie\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tSIE YOU LATER\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tHuddersfield sack boss Siewert following Fulham loss after just one win in 19\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tBilbao 1 Barca 0\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tAduriz nets stunning scissor kick to ruin Griezmann's debut\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tBarce-LOANA\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tPhilippe Coutinho agrees terms with Bayern Munich and is set to join on loan\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tWolf Hunt\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tHow Man Utd will line up against Wolves with Daniel James pushing for start\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tAt Risk\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tBury midfielder Stephen Dawson 'on verge of losing house' amid club crisis\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMOTOR MAD\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMessi and Barcelona team-mates ordered to return freebie cars to Audi\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t \t \t \t \t The move didn’t materialise and Llorente ended up joining Tottenham instead. Harry Maguire turned down a big-money move to Man City according to reports Getty Images - Getty City boss Pep Guardiola made it no secret of his desire to land the England international. After Maguire made the switch to United, the Spaniard said: “ Maguire  is a top-class player. We were interested but we could not afford him. United could afford him — congratulations to them. “ Maguire is excellent. He had an incredible World Cup, he’s strong in the air, fast, young. He has all the qualities.” And according to the Star , City put together a personal package that was around £100,000-a-week more than what United were offering. But the 26-year-old always had his heart set on a move to Manchester United and joining another club was not an option for the Sheffield-born star. Maguire is already proving himself as an established leader in the dressing room – less than a fortnight after joining. Solskjaer is impressed at how the ex-Leicester star  inspires team-mates in training. \t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Latest Manchester United news \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMAG-PIED\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMaguire 'turned down £278,000-a-week' Man City offer so he could join United\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tUNITED NEWS\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMan Utd transfer news LIVE - Latest news and gossip from Old Trafford\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tCALL OF DUTY\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tSolskjaer held talks with Eriksen in a bid to convince him to join Man Utd\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tSIGNED OFF\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMan Utd stars banned from stopping to give kids autographs on way to training\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tIN A HARRY\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMaguire already Man Utd's dressing room leader just two weeks after £80m move\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tGOAL-DEN ANNIVERSARY\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tShoot! hits 50 with special issue revealing beautiful game's ugly side\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t \t \t \t \t A United source said: “He’s the leader United have missed for some time. “The players were immediately excited by the prospect of him arriving. “He’s given the back-four renewed confidence, not just by his ability but his words. “The team feel stronger defending set-pieces now.” \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t'

Donald Trump ‘wants to buy GREENLAND’ in European territory takeover

AFP or licensors The US President has discussed the possible purchase with allies, reports claim[/caption] It would not be the first time an American leader had tried to buy the world’s largest island, which is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump has repeatedly expressed a desire to buy the autonomous Danish territory, which lies between the North Atlantic and Arctic oceans. At a dinner last spring, the former property tycoon is reported to have mentioned buying Greenland. “What do you guys think about that?” he asked the room, according to a source. “Do you think it would work?” Some of Trump’s administration supported the concept while other dismissed it as “fleeting fascination”, according to the paper. Trump’s apparent plans have been revealed ahead of his trip to Denmark early next month, which is unrelated to the plans to purchase. STRATEGICALLY IMPORTANT The US has long seen Greenland as strategically important and established a radar base at Thule at the start of the Cold War. In 1946, the US proposed to pay Denmark $100 million to buy Greenland after flirting with the idea of swapping land in Alaska for strategic parts of the Arctic island. Experts have suggested the US may want to buy Greenland so they could install anti-Russian military installations. This could include early-warning radar and nuclear bomber bases. Geographically, Greenland is classified under North America as it lies on the North American tectonic plate. PART OF EUROPE But politically, the country is recognised as part of Europe because it is considered to be a part of the Kingdom of Denmark. The autonomous Danish dependent territory has limited self-government and its own parliament. While its government decides on domestic matters – foreign and security policy is handled by Copenhagen. Denmark contributes two thirds of Greenland’s budget revenue, the rest coming mainly from fishing. Potential oil, gas and rare earth mineral reserves have also attracted prospecting firms. Greenland enjoys perpetual daylight for two months each year but more than 80% of the island is covered by an ice cap 4km thick in places. Global warming is feared to be causing the ice cover to melt increasingly fast but has also increased access to Greenland’s mineral resources. The island’s population is only 57,000, but the region has struggled with social problems. \t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t MOST READ IN NEWS \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMEXI-NO!\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tGlasgow family 'offered drugs every 10 mins on £9k Mexico beach TUI hol from hell'\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tDESPERATE CRIES\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tBlood-soaked knife victim slashed in face staggers into Asda for help\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t'MURDER' PROBE\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tGlasgow cops probe 'suspicious' death of man found in Possilpark street\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tRYANSCARE\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tDrunk Ryanair passenger 'grabs emergency door at 35,000ft' & vomits on floor\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tRIVER TRAGEDY\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMan's body pulled from River Forth after cops closed Clackmannanshire Bridge\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tGRIM DISCOVERY\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tCops probe after body found near Tesco store in Aberdeenshire\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t \t \t \t \t Buying Greenland would be an Alaska-type acquisition for Trump’s presidential legacy. Alaska is now home in Fort Greely – a US Army launch site for anti-ballistic missiles.
