hometown Royal Portrush earlier today and he showed some of the form that secured an Open victory in 2011 and got him into the worlds top-10 earlier in his career. #TheOpen 2019 is underway!Local lad Sky Sports Golf (@SkySportsGolf) July 18, 2019 From that point on he bogeyed the par-5 7th to post two-under for his first nine holes of work.He would have taken that before play began no doubt. “I tried to hit a trap draw 4-iron but got slightly ahead of it and hit it straight right into a bush,” Clarke said of the lay up that led to bogey on the 7th. “I should have played the easy shot but I didn’t” That came after turning to British Amateur Champion and playing partner James Sugrue on the 7th tee and saying, “You came through my Darren Clarke Foundation and I’m leading and you’re second. There’s something not quite right here.” The back nine he regressed slightly having a couple of birdies and four bogeys on the back nine to get into the clubhouse at level par. “The last time I experienced that was in 2011 on the 72nd hole,” Clarke said of his walk up 18. “I probably smiled a bit more today than I usually do.I wanted to show my appreciation of the incredible support I got.” Who knows, given the weather’s ability to completely switch at The Open Championship, that may not be too bad at days end. Before the tournament speaking to Golf Monthly about the course Clarke said “It’s a very fair links course and I think the guys will really enjoy the challenge. That’s very important to me.The course is so good that it’s hard to single out holes and there will just be such an atmosphere around Portrush. It’s a great town and this event will not only benefit Portrush but also Northern Ireland and all of Ireland.” Clarke took on the challenge of the course today and rolled back the years to set up a possible charge over the next few days. One player who would take a level par round right now is Rory McIlroy who started with a quadruple bogey eight on the first after hitting his opening tee shot out of bounds and then taking a penalty drop after finding thick rough to the left of the first green. He then bogeyed the third to get to five-over par from his first three holes.Clearly the nerves and expectations have proved to be too much for the Northern Irishman.Another Royal Portrush native Graeme McDowell started well in his first round as he currently has two birdies and six pars in his front nine.Expand \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t Irish Contenders At The Open Championship \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t 'GOLFING hothead Matt Wallace will be under the spotlight again when he tees off alongside Tiger Woods in the first two rounds of the Open. Wallace had to apologise to the European Tour for slamming a club into the green when he finished runner-up at the British Masters. Can Tiger Woods make more history in Portrush for The Open 2019? Getty Images - Getty And then he had to say sorry to his caddie for ranting at him after blowing another chance of winning at the BMW International. He will need to be on his best behaviour as his draw alongside 15 time Major champion Woods and 2018 Masters champion Patrick Reed will attract massive crowds at Portrush. They tee off at 3.10pm on Thursday. Wallace, 29, rocketed to prominence by winning three times on the European Tour last year, almost forcing his way onto the Ryder Cup team. MCILROY GOES FOR FIFTH MAJOR That took his haul to ten professional victories in the last three years – six of them on the third tier Alps Tour, where he was plying his trade in 2016 before storming up the world rankings. He continued his impressive progress by claiming a share of third place at the USPGA Championship two months ago, and followed up by finishing 12th at the US Open. Rory McIlroy begins his quest for an overdue fifth Major at 10.09 alongside Ryder Cup team-mate Paul Casey and newly-crowned US Open champion Gary Woodland. \t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Most Read In Golf \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tPARFECT PAD\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMcIlroy's stunning £8.5m Florida mansion with pool, home cinema & games room\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tHOME COMFORT\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMcIlroy gifted round at Portrush for tenth birthday - now he's back for more\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tROR POWER\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tRory McIlroy drives 374-yard par 4 with Jordan Spieth still putting on the green\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tACE OF BASE\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tKoepka could have been MLB star instead of golfer if not for horror car crash\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tbeau-tees\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t18 of Tiger's amazing women including porn stars, waitresses and a pal's daughter\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tOPEN FOR GLORY\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tThe Open 2019 start time, TV schedule, odds and tee times for Royal Portrush\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t \t \t \t \t Portrush-born Graeme McDowell, the 2010 US Open champion, tees off with Henrik Stenson and Xander Schauffele at 9.14 As expected 2011 Open champion Darren Clarke – ‘Mr Portrush’ because of his close links with the course – will hit the opening tee shot at 6.35am. Rickie Fowler at home in Northern Ireland for The Open

Golf Golf Monthly

'Rickie Fowler might be making his Royal Portrush debut this week but his first visit to Northern Ireland came back in 2007 Rickie Fowler at Royal Portrush for The Open Rickie Fowler at home in Northern Ireland for The Open There will be more than a few Northern Irish golf fans at Royal Portrush this week who remember the first time Rickie Fowler stepped foot on the links of Ulster, when he made his Walker Cup debut for the United States in 2007.That week at Royal County Down brought Fowler and Rory McIlroy into competition together for the first time, virtually in McIlroy’s back yard.Fowler was 18 years old and fresh out of high school – the young kid on the U.S. team – whereas McIlroy, although five months younger than Fowler, was already making his amateur swansong before turning professional. “I was nervous dealing with the big stage and being the young guy on the team,” recalls Fowler, now 30 and an ambassador for Open patron Mercedes-Benz. “But I settled into the situation and played very well.” Fowler teamed up with Billy Horschel – the 2014 FedExCup winner on the PGA Tour – to defeat McIlroy and Jonathan Caldwell in foursomes, 2 and 1. “It was on the final day.Billy and I went down early but then we played well and managed to fight back. That week was a lot of fun. “I knew Rory was the young star and you could see he was a great player, but you just never know what the future will hold. You never know if a player is actually going to fulfil that kind of potential until he goes out and proves it and wins on the biggest stage. “Ultimately, Rory has not fallen short of the expectations around him, that’s for sure.” Fowler posted a 3-1 record in that Walker Cup debut as the visitors defeated GB&I but now Fowler’s attention is firmly taken by Ulster’s other famous Royal golf venue. “Royal Portrush is a great links course,” he says. “For me to win this week I need to drive the ball well.Getting the ball in the proper place off the tee is a big part of this golf course. “I am not saying it is easy from there but if you drive well then you are not playing your second shots out of the junk. “I am definitely looking forward to playing in front of the Northern Irish fans again.I returned to Royal County Down a couple years ago when Rory was hosting the Irish Open. They are great golf fans and golf is such a part of life in Northern Ireland.Having a major back here has got everyone excited.” This article Rickie Fowler at home in Northern Ireland for The Open appeared first on Golf Monthly .'

Ian Poulter calls for smart golf at The Open

Golf Golf Monthly

'England's Ian Poulter believes the Dunluce Links at Royal Portrush will not be over-powered in The Open this week Ian Poulter in the 2018 Open at Carnoustie Ian Poulter calls for smart golf at The Open As Ian Poulter prepares to play in The Open for the 18th time, the Englishman believes smart golf will win over aggression at Royal Portrush . “We are going to have a great Open on a great golf course that is going to test every aspect of your game,” says Poulter, 43. “This is not a golf course where you have to hit driver. You have got to keep the ball on the fairway and keep it in play because the rough is no fun. You’ve got to play smart.Smart golf is going to win this championship in the end.” Poulter made his debut in The Open at St Andrews in 2000 and he has nearly won the Claret Jug twice; first in 2008 at Royal Birkdale when he finished in second place behind Padraig Harrington, and again in 2013 when he finished in a tie for third place at Muirfield when Phil Mickelson won. “I am a lot greyer than I was back in 2000 at St Andrews,” admits Poulter in an interview with Open patron Mercedes-Benz. “I am older, wiser and I think I am a smarter golfer today and a better golfer.I am more rounded as a player and I better understand my job. “And experience counts for a lot in The Open.It takes time to understand the shot-making and how to move the ball into the greens on links golf courses, holding the ball into the wind and getting shots along the ground as early as you can. “I have played in The Open for a long time ago now, for 19 years, so I have picked up a lot of on-course knowledge and hopefully it will help me between now and Sunday. “The greatest lesson in links conditions is to understand that there is not just one way to play the golf course. You can play the driver on some tees here yet some holes were designed for golfers not to be overly aggressive and that’s why you need to play smart golf. “The Open is not easy from start to finish so you need a good game plan and you need to execute it. “It’s a sell out this week so I can’t wait to play in front of all these fans.It is going to be very special with this level of support.” Poulter tees off in the first round tomorrow morning at 9:03, with Sungjae Im from South Korea and Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat. This article Ian Poulter calls for smart golf at The Open appeared first on Golf Monthly .'

'Cowen did not hold back on his comments regarding Matt Wallace's treatment of caddie Dave McNeilly at the BMW International Open Pete Cowen: Matt Wallace A Complete Idiot Matt Wallace has been paired with Tiger Woods for the opening two rounds at the 148th Open Championship in what will be two of the biggest days in the Englishman’s young professional career. However, his Open week may have been ever-so-slightly tarnished after some comments made from legendary teacher Pete Cowen.Cowen, who currently coaches US Open champion Gary Woodland and Henrik Stenson among others, said that Wallace should receive a ban for his behaviour towards his caddie at the BMW International Open. The four-time European Tour winner has come under fire in recent weeks after venting frustration at the British Masters where he bashed his putter on the 18th green and even more so for the incident in Germany. The Englishman did apologise and it didn’t appear to affect the strong relationship he and caddie Dave McNeilly have.Speaking to the Times, Cowen said of Wallace, “He is a complete idiot and the European Tour has to do something about it. “A b——–g is no good, a fine is no good. “He needs a ban. It’s a form of cheating because you’re putting your opponent off. “The best thing would have been if his caddie had dropped his bag — I’d have chucked it in the bloody lake — but that wouldn’t do Dave McNeilly any good.” Related: Pete Cowen Exclusive Interview: The King of Swing Wallace’s agent Chubby Chandler has hit back at Cowen’s comments. “It’s a shame on the eve of Matt playing with Tiger at such a special event that something has come up for which Matt has already apologised and signified that he is and has been addressing,” Chandler told the Telegraph Sport. “Matt is determined to control his emotions and has been working with Dr Steve McGregor on the issue and the pair are already confident they have made great strides, together with input from Dave. “He’s a good kid who hasn’t smashed up markers or abused officials unlike some other players and to say he should be banned is utterly ridiculous. “It’s funny, I remember a young player who I was on Tour with in the 70s who was renowned for his tantrums and snapping clubs. His name was Pete Cowen.” Related: Open Championship tee times – 1st and 2nd rounds \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Expand \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t Open Championship Golf Betting Tips 2019 \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Open Championship Golf Betting Tips 2019 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Who is going to make you some money… \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Expand \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t Golf In Ireland Is A Game Without Borders Or Prejudice \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Golf In Ireland Is A Game Without Borders Or Prejudice \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Born in Northern Ireland, Bill Elliott, our editor… \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Expand \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t Bets To Avoid At The Open Championship 2019 \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Bets To Avoid At The Open Championship 2019 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Four players to cross off your list \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Expand \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t Open Championship Prize Money 2019 \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Open Championship Prize Money 2019 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t The purse has increased $250,000 on last year \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t For all the latest golf news, check the Golf Monthly website and follow our social media channels This article Pete Cowen: Matt Wallace A Complete Idiot appeared first on Golf Monthly .'

'Rahm has taken exception to Pieters comments about his clothing when attending Wimbledon.Credit: @Thomas_Pieters on Twitter Jon Rahm And Thomas Pieters Fall Out Over Wimbledon Jab It seems Thomas Pieters has made an enemy out of Jon Rahm thanks to his Twitter comments. When the Spaniard attended Wimbledon recently he was spotted wearing a black shirt with white stars on it, coupled with a light blue tie.It caused such a stir in fact that Pieters took the opportunity to Tweet a joke about it tagging in renowned social media personality Eddie Pepperell and several clothing manufacturers. @PepperellEddie take it from here boss.Im on the Floor @CHANEL @HUGOBOSS @gucci @Hermes_Paris please help pic.twitter.com/104szOb5cV — Thomas Pieters (@Thomas_Pieters) July 10, 2019 However Rahm has taken this clear joke personally.Speaking at an Open Championship press conference at Royal Portrush Rahm received some questions on the so-called jab.Have a read of the transcript below…. Q.Have you managed to catch up with Thomas Pieters, since he was poking fun at your outfit at Wimbledon?RAHM: No, I haven’t seen him this week.I saw the Tweet.I haven’t seen him, no.And I’m not necessarily going to look for him after something like that.Q.It’s quite a unique ensemble.Do you usually dress like that?RAHM: I mean, I like to stay up with modern fashions.I can always say that wasn’t my first choice of shirt to wear. The tie was; the shirt wasn’t.Still, you’ve got to wear it with confidence, that’s all I can say.Q.Was it the only one that was there, the only one that was ironed and ready to go?RAHM: Yeah, for reasons — for just it didn’t come, the shirt I wanted to wear didn’t come from the dry cleaners in time. But still, it’s one of the shirts I have that I’ve worn before. It’s not meant to be worn with a suit.I’d rather not go to a Royal box with a starred shirt. But it’s what I had.I got compliments in the Royal box. As far as I’m concerned it was a good day.It remains to be seen whether the two European golfers will make up after the Wimbledon jab.Expand \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t Jon Rahm What’s In The Bag?Jon Rahm What’s In The Bag?See what clubs Spaniard Jon Rahm currently has… \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Expand \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t Phil Mickelson Has Low Expectations Ahead Of Open Championship \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Phil Mickelson Has Low Expectations Ahead Of Open Championship \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t In an interview Mickelson said he has been… \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Expand \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t Royal Portrush Course Guide – Open Championship 2019 \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Royal Portrush Course Guide – Open Championship 2019 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Our guide to the 148th Open Championship host… \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t Don’t forget to follow Golf Monthly on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for all the latest Open news. This article Jon Rahm And Thomas Pieters Fall Out Over Wimbledon Jab appeared first on Golf Monthly .'

Bets To Avoid At The Open Championship 2019

Golf Golf Monthly

'For the majority of players at Portrush Open week will not end in success - we pick 4 that we think will leave empty handed Bets To Avoid At The Open Championship 2019 The Open Championship at Royal Portrush starts tomorrow, and the conditions look like they might be tricky with wind and rain about. There is a stellar group of golfers who will be teeing up, but from that group there are ones that you should be backing and there are certainly ones to avoid.Related: Open Championship Golf Betting Tips Below are four golfers I believe you should be steering well clear of.Tiger Woods Tiger does not look fit at the moment, since his incredible Masters victory in April he has only played three times, although one of them was a 9 th at the Memorial. He has the game of course to win an Open Championship again – but with the way he is moving this year I can’t see him lifting the Claret Jug this particular Sunday in Portrush.Phil Mickelson Mickelson seems very down on his game at the moment, and has announced he has been having a “Hard Reset” of his game and life in the weeks before The Open. This has included him losing 15 pounds in weight over a 6-day period. He has said he is not expecting to win this week – and although he may just be trying to keep the pressure off himself it would be a big shock if Mickelson is contending on Sunday. \'I'm certainly not happy with the way I've been playing.\' Phil Mickelson says he needs to improve in all areas as he prepares for #TheOpen #TheOpen from Royal Portrush – live on Sky Sports The Open from Thursday pic.twitter.com/nhagHupmlA — Sky Sports Golf (@SkySportsGolf) July 16, 2019 \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Expand \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t Open Championship Betting Favourites 2019 \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Open Championship Betting Favourites 2019 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Who do the bookies think have the best… \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Expand \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t Open Championship Golf Betting Tips 2019 \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Open Championship Golf Betting Tips 2019 \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Who is going to make you some money… \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t Expand \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t Tour Caddie Shoots 202 In US Amateur Qualifying \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Tour Caddie Shoots 202 In US Amateur Qualifying \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t He was disqualified for \'serious misconduct and failing… \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t Justin Rose I have been very disappointed by the lack of golf Justin Rose has played this year – he had a great chance to secure his World Number One ranking but has let opportunities slip by and others now are ahead of him.He does have a great game for The Open and he has had chances this year, but it was only a hot putter that let him contend at the US Open – and when that deserted him on Sunday he fell away badly.Jordan Spieth Amazingly he is still 35/1 to win this week – three top 10s a month ago and it look like his game was starting to come back to him.But he missed the cut in his last outing and is now 32 nd in the world.I cannot see his game being in the right place to add another Major to his collection this week.Golf Monthly is at The Open all week keep up to date with the latest news and opinion via the Golf Monthly website and social media channels. This article Bets To Avoid At The Open Championship 2019 appeared first on Golf Monthly .'
