Shelvey picked up a knock in training earlier this week Getty Images - Getty The Canaries endured an opening night to forget last Friday, losing 4-1 to Liverpool at Anfield, while the Magpies lost by a finer margin in their 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal . Nonetheless, both managers will be desperate to kick-start their season in the 3pm clash – live on talkSPORT 2 – but they have injury problems to contend with. Norwich star Onel Hernandez has been ruled out for several months after injuring himself in an accident at home – and he could prove a huge miss for the newly-promoted side. \t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tgameday\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tArsenal 2 Burnley 1 LIVE updates: Aubameyang restores Gunners lead with superb goal\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tPAPER TALK\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tSancho replacement search, Zaha latest, Man United star 'refuses' to go\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tawkward\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tThe reason why Arsenal axed the captain's notes from matchday programme\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tSTAY PUT\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t'Eriksen is not at Real Madrid or Barcelona's level', says ex-Premier League ace\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tfresh hope\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tNew Arsenal stars can 'inspire' Mesut Ozil and renew his enthusiasm for football\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tRespect\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tSol Campbell lauded for 'miracle' of keeping Macclesfield up following exit\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tgameday\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMan City v Tottenham live: Full talkSPORT commentary for Premier League blockbuster\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tgameday\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tSunderland v Portsmouth live: talkSPORT commentary and team news for League One tie\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t \t \t \t \t Meanwhile, Steve Bruce continues to be without long-term absentees Andy Carroll, Dwight Gayle and Christian Atsu. Arsenal vs Burnley: Match stats Arsenal have won their last 10 matches against Burnley in all competitions, a run stretching back to March 2010. The Gunners have lost their first home Premier League match of the season in five of the last eight seasons (W2 D1 L5), losing 0-2 to Manchester City last season. Burnley have never won both of their opening two matches to a Premier League season before, last doing so in the top-flight in 1973-74 and in any division in the 2006-07 Championship. Burnley boss Sean Dyche has lost all eight of his Premier League matches against Arsenal – the only manager with a worse 100 per cent losing ratio against an opponent is Gary Megson against Liverpool, who lost all nine of his games against the Reds. Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored a brace in all three of his Premier League games against Burnley – only two players have ever scored two or more in four consecutive games against an opponent; Michael Owen vs Newcastle United between 1998 and 2001 and Harry Kane vs Everton between 2017 and 2018.'

The Switzerland international joined the Reds from Stoke City for £13million in the summer of 2018. Shaqiri is a fringe player at Liverpool Getty Images - Getty He made 24 Premier League appearances last season, however, he only started in eleven of them. The forward, 27, is something of a fringe player for the Anfield club and has yet to feature for them this season – with his only appearance coming in their Community Shield defeat to Manchester City . Although he picked up an injury while playing in the Nations League in June, Shaqiri’s fall down the pecking order at Liverpool over the past few months has been rapid. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain started against Chelsea in the Super Cup while striker Divock Origi has also worked his way up following his Champions League form. Shaqiri was in Liverpool’s squad in their Super Cup win against Chelsea but played no part in the game Getty Images - Getty There have even been suggestions Shaqiri could go this summer as the transfer window is still open in Europe’s other big leagues. And Shaqiri fired a warning to Reds boss Jurgen Klopp about his future, admitting that he needs to ‘look at the situation and find a solution’. In an interview with Swiss publication BZ Langenthaler Tagblatt , Shaqiri said: “I am disappointed that I am no longer getting to play in matches. “No player is happy to sit on the bench. “It is clear that I would like to have more playing time. I need to take a good look at the situation and find a solution.” \t \t\t \t\t\t LIVE on talkSPORT \t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\ttalkSPORT is your home of live football! How Anthony Joshua can defy Tyson Fury and beat Andy Ruiz Jr in world heavyweight title rematch in Saudi Arabia

'Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury may never have shared a ring together, but there have been plenty of verbal spars between the British heavyweights. In his latest rant at Joshua, the ‘Gypsy King’ claims Joshua will once again be on the receiving end of a stoppage loss when he takes on Andy Ruiz Jr in an attempt to prise back his world heavyweight titles. The Mexican shocked the world inside Madison Square Garden when he pummelled the previously unbeaten and heavily backed favourite, before the referee stopped the contest in the fifth round. The rematch has been announced for December 7 in Diriyah Matchroom Boxing Joshua has the chance to avenge this humiliating defeat on December 7 when the pair will meet in Saudi Arabia, despite claims to the contrary by the ‘Destroyer’ on Instagram. But Fury believes his fellow Brit will be equally susceptible to Ruiz’s quick hands and brutal inside fighting. When asked if he anticipated another knockout, Fury told First Take: “ One million per cent . I thought Ruiz won every round in that fight. “It wasn’t a fluke punch like Hasim Rahman and Lennox Lewis, and then in the rematch he turned up, didn’t get hit with a punch and knocked him out. The ‘Gypsy King’ had some words of advice for his fellow countryman Getty Images - Getty “He clearly lost the rounds. He was getting outboxed, he was getting outfought and then he got knocked down three times, two to boot. “So I don’t see him really improving, not unless he comes out on his toes and tries to do a Tyson Fury and slip out the way, which he doesn’t have the body type or the boxing ability to do.” So how on earth can ‘AJ’ extinguish the ghost of New York and beat Ruiz? Below, we have identified five key factors the Watford-native must correct before the ‘Clash of the Dunes’ takes place in Riyadh. \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t 1. Use the Jab more effectively Joshua’s jab is a devastating weapon, something Povetkin learned in 2018 Getty Images - Getty As an Olympic Gold medallist, Joshua’s technical skills are finely tuned from his amateur days, no matter how brief they were. On his day, the Brit fires his left hand out like a piston and is adept at finding the target, setting up a huge right hand over the top – perhaps his most devastating punch. In the fight in New York, Joshua appeared to throw the jab from the hip, something he has not previously attempted before. The 29-year-old will once again have an eight-inch reach advantage over the much smaller Mexican and must use this to his benefit. However, from his orthodox stance, Joshua’s natural instinct is to step to his left as he throws the jab – something he must avoid as we will explain later. 2. Time Uppercuts when Ruiz comes in Klitschko was king at fighting smaller men at range, catching Alex Leapai with a beautiful uppercut in 2014 AFP - Getty When Lennox Lewis knocked out Mike Tyson in 2002, the former undisputed world heavyweight champion did so by using his uppercut to devastating effect. Lewis would throw out his jab and, knowing Tyson’s head movement was superior, instead timing his shots when the American leaned forward to catch him cold. It allowed the Olympian to fight on the outside and keep the dangerous Tyson away, with the uppercuts acting as a deterrent. And we know Joshua possesses a terrific uppercut, something he demonstrated with devastating effect on Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in 2017. But planting his feet is not an option for Joshua, as we saw in the first fight. When he throws, he must create angles by stepping to the side or avoid getting into a firefight. 3. Move feet efficiently to create distance and angles Creating angles and keeping distance is vital for AJ in Saudi Arabia Getty Images - Getty As we mentioned in the first point, throwing out a lazy jab and stepping to his left will leave Joshua open to a huge overhand right from Ruiz. The Mexican was not afraid to let his hands go when the opportunity presented itself and Joshua’s long limbs cannot move as quickly as the shorter fighter. Since moving backwards is simply asking for trouble in a fist fight, the Brit should instead step to his right when he throws his jab and pivot away from the onrushing Ruiz. While he may not be the next Vasyl Lomachenko, the Brit has the physical attributes to be nimble and quick on his toes. \t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t LATEST BOXING NEWS \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tfeud\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tLewis could come out of retirement and 'humble' AJ, claims former champ's manager\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tfeud\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tLewis wants Joshua to call him to clear the air and end public feud\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMIND GAMES\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tAndy Ruiz Jr claims he knows Anthony Joshua’s game plan for rematch\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tEASY OPPONENT\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tAnthony Joshua fires shot at Tyson Fury over next fight against Otto Wallin\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tbad blood\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tLennox Lewis v Anthony Joshua records: How the fighters compare amid war of words\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t‘AGENDA’\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tLennox Lewis blames Eddie Hearn for Anthony Joshua feud, stands by criticism\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tVERDICT\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tAndy Ruiz Jr weighs in on Anthony Joshua vs Lennox Lewis argument\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tDISPUTE\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tAnthony Joshua stands firm, calls Lennox Lewis ‘clown’ again in new Instagram post\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t \t \t \t \t 4. ‘Frame’ Ruiz when he gets inside and force him to use his energy If Ruiz does get inside, which from the evidence of the first fight is likely, Joshua needs to keep his composure and nullify the threat. The Brit admitted Deontay Wilder’s KO of Dominic Breazeale had affected him before the fight, but he now knows there is no need to try and take Ruiz out early to send a message. So rather than swing wildly and try to take his man out (never hook with a hooker, as the saying goes) he should instead ‘Frame’ the smaller man. Framing in boxing means to use your arms and forearms to keep an opponent off, or in this instance, under you. It is something taller heavyweights like Fury and Klitschko have performed to perfection. It not only stops your opponent from throwing upwards, but it allows you to put your weight onto them and drain the strength in their legs as they try and force you off. It may be dirty boxing to stick a Joshua has a four-inch height advantage in this fight and has the strength to force his man down before spinning out and creating a new angle of attack, before popping off the jab all over again. 5. Stay tall and do not sink to Ruiz’s level Staying tall and not getting into a firefight is essential for the Brit Getty Images - Getty The tendency for taller fighters is to stoop slightly and to sink to the level of their opponent. Joshua’s last four opponents have all been smaller than him; Carlos Takam, Joseph Parker, Alexander Povetkin and then Ruiz. And the Brit has shown a tendency to bend his knees and sink into the canvas somewhat. Instead, Joshua must stand tall and tuck his chin into his chest if needs be, but keeping away from the faster and more explosive Mexican is key. Joshua must be aware that by doing this Ruiz will target his body eventually to drain the energy from him. But in doing so, the champion will leave himself open to those devastating uppercuts mentioned previously.'

Newcastle, meanwhile, lost at home to Arsenal meaning both sides will be eager to get their campaigns up and running. Both have plenty of talented players in the ranks this season so it should be an entertaining tie in Norfolk. Russ Williams, Ian Danter and David Connolly will be at the ground for talkSPORT 2. Man City star Raheem Sterling will be looking to shoot down Spurs getty Man City vs Tottenham – 5:15pm on talkSPORT (kick-off 5:30pm) GameDay has saved the best for last this weekend with an absolute belter to wrap up this Saturday. It’s City vs Spurs, one of the key fixtures of recent years and a huge early-season test for these two title contenders. They both got off to fine starts last weekend, beating West Ham and Aston Villa respectively. City were superb at the London Stadium and look in ominous form following a 5-0 rout of the Hammers. But Spurs also impressed as they came form behind to see off Villa and many are tipping them to challenge City for the title this term. GameDay’s late kick-off should provide us with a truer view of both side’s credentials with questions aplenty. Can City sustain their astonishing quality for another season? Will Tottenham finally come good on their promise from recent years? Will Raheem Sterling or Harry Kane have the last laugh at the Etihad? He told The Times : “N’Golo Kante’s energy is extraordinary but he offers so much more than fitness. “It’s the way he darts around the pitch, he’s like an empty crisp packet in the park, flying around all over the place. “Lampard hasn’t moved him back into a solely defensive role, Kante was still pushing up the pitch and pinched the ball on the halfway line for Chelsea’s opening goal. “Yes he’s brilliant when your team is camped on the edge of their box but he’s great higher up the pitch too, as his ability to read an opponent is superb. “People don’t realise how important tackling is in attack as well as defence.” \t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tmore misery\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tFulham strike late to pile more misery on hapless Huddersfield\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tEXCITED\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t10 reasons we can’t wait for GameDay two in the Premier League\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tBAYERN BOUND\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tBayern agree deal with Barcelona to sign former Liverpool playmaker on loan\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tQ&A\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tSpurs star reveals he idolised Arsenal legend and cried after Champions League final\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tsavage\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t'Who is Mourinho?' - Pogba's brother launches scathing attack on ex-Man United boss\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tLON GAME\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tLonergan in for injured Adrian? 'Norwich manager Daniel Farke has revealed winger Onel Hernández is facing months on the sidelines after he slipped climbing some stairs to his flat. The 26-year-old, who became the first Cuban to play in the Premier League last weekend, suffered the knee injury on Thursday while at home. Hernandez has injured his knee Hernandez is due to have a scan on Friday for a full assessment of the damage, but Farke confirmed he has definitely suffered a lateral meniscus tear. There are even concerns the forward may have ruptured his ACL, which would see him ruled out for the rest of the campaign. The club have already booked him in for surgery on Monday, and Farke admitted that he will be a huge loss. \t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tPredicted XI\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tHow Tottenham could line up vs Man City with two superstars returning\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tstrong response\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tFrank Lampard speaks out about racist abuse aimed at Tammy Abraham\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tGAMEDAY COUNTDOWN\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tArsenal v Burnley and Man City v Spurs build up, plus latest news\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tchanged your tune\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tZidane makes dramatic u-turn on Bale after Hazard injury\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\thopeful\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tAdrian gives injury update after Liverpool goalkeeper injured by fan\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tGET WELL SOON\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tRicky van Wolfswinkel to undergo treatment for brain aneurysm\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tFAN PREVIEW\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tNorwich vs Newcastle: 'We were naive', plus new signing backed to score\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tCRINGE\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tRonaldo stars in bizarre advert to promote Singapore-based app\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tEXCUSE ME?\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t'Did he just say penetration live on air?' – Brazil and McCoist left speechless\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tHELP US\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tSean Dyche hopes introduction of VAR can help Burnley against Arsenal\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tWHO PLAYS?\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tCeballos, Luiz and Pepe in line to start - Arsenal vs Burnley likely line-ups\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tbig blow\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tWhy is Lionel Messi not playing tonight? 'Over the years footballers have starred in a number of terrible adverts that are so bad they are almost brilliant. We have seen players plug anything from pizza to shampoo, and the list gets a lot weirder, as you can imagine. The Juventus superstar in probably his worst advert to date @Shopee Cristiano Ronaldo is no stranger to awful adverts, but his latest commercial is quite possibly the worst of the lot. Ronaldo then says ‘Shopee’ to the referee, complete with animated grin, before breaking out in to a terrible dance along with four other men to ‘Baby Shark’ as he enthusiastically taps his phone. It is genuinely as bad as it sounds and has to be seen (unfortunately) to be believed. The former Russia international came close to scoring against Sunderland on his debut, but could not break the deadlock for his new side. He was replaced by Carlos Vela after 63 minutes. Arshavin will be remembered fondly by Arsenal fans for scoring all four goals in the club’s 4-4 draw at Liverpool in April 2009. However, the winger failed to hit the heights at the Emirates and rejoined Zenit on loan three years after leaving for north London. Andrey Arshavin was inconsistent at Arsenal Getty Mesut Ozil – £42.4million Full debut: Sunderland 1-3 Arsenal, September 2013 After falling out of favour with Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, Ozil became a realistic target for Arsenal. And the Gunners made a statement of intent when they surpassed their club-record transfer fee by over £27million to sign the German midfielder. Ozil wasted no time in introducing himself to the Arsenal faithful when he assisted Olivier Giroud’s opening goal in the 11th minute at the Stadium of Light. Lonergan, 35, signed for the Reds only last week on a short-team deal as cover having left Middlesbrough in the summer. Kelleher, 20, is highly rated by the club but has been suffering with an injury and is not at peak fitness ahead of Saturday’s trip to St Mary’s. When asked if Lonergan is ready to face Southampton, Klopp responded: “Yes. If we have to make a decision, then we make a decision. “Caoimhin is a boy we are all excited about. Following Harry Maguire’s move to Manchester United, King Power chiefs turned to Tarkowski as the replacement, while Wolves were also believed to be interested in the England international. Tarkowski’s attitude has been praised by Mee getty images Clarets boss Sean Dyche praised Tarkowski for his performance in last weekend’s 3-0 victory over Southampton, and Mee has been impressed by his centre-back partner’s reaction. “You never know what can happen,” said Mee. “Obviously there was a lot of talk around Tarky. I’ve said to him, ‘I’m glad you’ve stayed.’ He focused really well and he showed that on Saturday. “He had the attitude of what will be, will be. He never once stepped out of line. You see other players at other clubs, you hear about something and they can go a bit off the rails. He’s stuck to it and trained really well and stuck with the group. He’s fully focused on playing for us.” Tarkowski stepped into Michael Keane’s boots when he left Turf Moor for Everton two years ago and has formed a strong partnership with Mee. \t \t\t \t\t \t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tOUR TIME\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tMoussa Sissoko exclusive: Tottenham ‘deserve’ to win a trophy, hopefully this year\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tWATCH\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tLaLiga matches to be free-to-air on UK TV as Spanish league agree last-minute deal\t\t\t \t\t\t \t \t \t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tnew season\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\tIs Athletic Bilbao vs Barcelona on TV? Moussa Sissoko EXCLUSIVE: This Tottenham team ‘deserves’ to win a trophy, hopefully we do it this year

'Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko has exclusively told talkSPORT he believes his team ‘deserves’ to win a trophy and will be aiming to finally do so this year. Despite enduring a rough start to life at Spurs, the Frenchman came good last season and is now a key figure in one of the Premier League’s strongest sides. Moussa Sissoko insists 2019/20 can be the end of Tottenham’s trophy drought Getty The club last won a trophy over a decade ago when they lifted the League Cup in 2008 and, unsurprisingly, no members of the XI that beat Chelsea that day remain with them today. Now, Tottenham have an entirely new team under Mauricio Pochettino who have come close in recent title races, but are still yet to claim silverware after being beaten in the Champions League final last season. Speaking of the desire to win trophies ahead of talkSPORT’s live and exclusive commentary of Manchester City vs Spurs on Saturday, Sissoko told talkSPORT’s James Savundra: “It’s not just now. “Even last year or the year before, that’s what we wanted to achieve, but we didn’t do it. Sissoko got a taste of trophy lifting with the pre-season Audi Cup win Getty “But I think [for] a few years now the team is doing a great job and we are always close to winning something and it’s always painful to lose near the end. “I think this club and this team deserves to win something, so hopefully we can do it this year. “We said it every season now and we’re always missing something, so hopefully this year will be a good one, we’ll have a great season altogether with a lot of success at the end.” Following last year’s crushing final defeat to Liverpool, Spurs have been active in the transfer market. Deadline day recruitments of Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon should prove to be interesting additions to the team, with earlier-signed Tanguy Ndombele already making his presence felt. Tanguy Ndombele scored the crucial equalised as Tottenham came from 1-0 down to beat Villa 3-1 on Saturday AFP or licensors Sissoko continued: “For Tanguy I think it was an amazing afternoon last Saturday. “We won the first game, he played well, he scored, so everything was great. “He played with a lot of quality. I think he showed it when he was in France and then he showed it for his first game. “And now everyday he has more confidence and I think that will be good for him and for us. “He came here to add something to the team and I’m sure he will do it during the season.” \t \t\t \t\t\t LIVE on talkSPORT \t\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\ttalkSPORT is your home of live football!
